Absolutely fantastic platform!

I can't say enough good things about Bot Libre! I decided to try their Enterprise Bot Server for a new customer service automation project, and it blew me away. The features are robust, the customization options are endless, and the AI Engine is surprisingly intuitive. My team and I got a complex virtual agent up and running faster than I thought possible. I'm so impressed with the flexibility and power it offers. Seriously, if you need bots, this is the place to go!

Always a reliable choice

I've been using Bot Libre for different projects for about two years now, mostly for smaller Telegram bots and sometimes for their AI Engine. This last order was for a more complex sales bot for a client. The platform is consistently easy to navigate. I had a small question about the API this time and support got back to me pretty quickly, which was good. It's why I keep coming back, it just works for what I need.

Easy to get started

My friend told me about Bot Libre for making a bot for our gaming group's Discord server. I'm not super techy, but setting up a simple bot wasn't too hard. I used one of their templates, I think it was for a Discord bot, and customized it a bit. It took me maybe an hour to figure out, and then it was live. Everything went smoothly. It's been running fine for a few weeks now. Pretty cool.

Hey, wondering about the free tier. Is it actually useful for anything serious or just like a super basic demo?

N Nick 2 months ago
It's pretty good for a free tier actually. You can build out a decent bot and even host it, just be aware of the message limits. But for testing ideas, it's perfect.

Yeah, I started on the free tier and got a basic customer service bot running on my small site. It's not unlimited but definitely enough to see if it works for you.

I'm thinking of getting the annual plan to save some cash. Is that usually the best way to get a discount?

E Elena M. 2 months ago
Definitely. The annual billing usually gives you like 20% off compared to monthly. It's their main discount.

Yeah, that's what I did. Locked in a better price for the year. Makes sense if you know you'll be using it long-term.

Is it possible to host the bot server on my own infrastructure, like on-premise, or is it strictly cloud-based?

A Anna 1 month ago
You can host it on your own server, yeah. They have options for private cloud and hybrid solutions too if you want more control.

Yep, it's one of the big advantages over some competitors. Full control if you want to self-host.

Are there any current promo codes floating around for like, a new user discount or something? Looking to sign up soon.

M Mia Foster 1 month ago
Not really 'promo codes' in the typical sense most of the time. They mostly do discounts for annual plans or special bundles, I think.

Check the billing section in your account once you sign up. Sometimes they'll have a field for a code there, but I usually see discounts built into the plan selection, like for annual payments.

I saw something about 'credits' for API calls. How does that work, and do they expire?

C Chris 2 months ago
Credits are basically what your bot uses for processing messages and AI stuff. They usually reset monthly with your plan, but I don't think they roll over or expire in a way that's punitive, you just get your new batch.
6
N Nick Bennett 2 months ago
Each action or message your bot processes uses up a certain number of credits. You get a set amount depending on your plan. If you go over, you might need to upgrade or buy more, but they don't expire mid-month or anything like that.

How reliable is the customer support for free users? Like, if I hit a wall, will I just be stuck?

R Renee Y. 2 months ago
Free users don't get dedicated tech support, unfortunately. You'll mainly rely on the community forums. They're usually pretty helpful though.

C Carly Walsh 2 months ago
You can post in the forums, and sometimes you get a response from a staff member, but it's mostly community helping each other out if you're on the free plan. Paid plans get priority support.

Thinking of switching from Chatfuel. How does Bot Libre compare for building Facebook Messenger bots? Is it much harder to use?

P Priya A. 2 months ago
Bot Libre is a bit more 'pro' feeling than Chatfuel, I'd say. More customization but maybe a steeper learning curve initially. Once you get it though, it's powerful.

I used ManyChat before this, and Bot Libre gives you way more control. The scripting engine lets you do pretty complex stuff that would be a nightmare on other platforms. Might take a minute to get used to the interface though.

I'm a student, trying to build a bot for a project. Any chance of a student discount?

J June E. 1 month ago
Pretty sure I saw something about education discounts. You'd probably need to check their main site or contact support to see what the requirements are.

N Neil Hughes 1 month ago
Yeah, they do have educational discounts. Worth looking into for sure.
